About your host

Hi, My name is Michelle and I am the host of the podcast . This podcast was birth from being on Maternity leave. While on at leave i was introduced to the world of podcasts. I listened to a plethora of podcast from husband and wife Devale and Khadeen Ellis’s Deadass podcast to Lovers and Friends by Shan Boodram. I always loved the topics and conversations, and the knowledge that many of their episodes covered. I researched for some Canadian podcast and while I found a few there weren’t many ( or any at all) that were hosted by black Canadians.

Often times as Canadians we are overshadowed by our neighbors south of our boarders. As a Canadian I knew there was so much talent and knowledge here. In addition, there is so much that's people could learn about regarding black Canadians just by them telling their stories. Afterall we are the same country that produced Drake, The Weekend , DVSN and so much more so why not hear our stories and learn from black Canadians ?
